Stursbøl Plantage, Jels, Fri teltning

In Stursbøl Plantation between Jels and Oksenvad there is an area where there is Free Camping. 

Here you can pitch one or two 3-person tents for a single night and spend the night in them. It is the Danish Nature Agency that owns the forest and grants the permit. It is also allowed to use hammocks with a tarp (cover). 

Stursbøl Plantation has a varied vegetation with relatively young trees, because the forest was hit quite hard by the hurricane in 1999. The forest area contains a lot of burial mounds, which is an indication that the Ancient Road has passed the area.
