Near the beautiful Engelsholm Castle lies Engelsholm Lake, which is a very clean fishing lake supplied with spring water. It is possible to fish in the lake to a limited extent and to rent a boat for sailing on the lake.

Vejle Å originates from the fishing lake Engelsholm Lake, and here you can wade out about eight meters from the shore in waders, as the lake has a firm bottom.

There is a limited number of day permits for the lake, where you can find pike, perch, and roach. The pike is fully protected in the lake and must be released. Always remember to check the closed seasons for species and fishing spots.

There are two boats available for rent on the lake, and otherwise only the Nørup-Randbøl Angling Association and local residents are allowed to sail on the lake. Dagli’Brugsen in Ny Nørup handles the sale of day permits for fishing in Engelsholm Lake and the rental of boats. It is recommended to call in advance if you wish to rent a boat.

There is a wheelchair ramp as well as tables and benches at Engelsholm Lake. Please respect the protected area in front of Engelsholm Castle.
